If you miss three fruit or hit a single bomb, then you lose. Instead of squaring you off against the clock, you’ll instead have to focus on racking up the biggest combos you can without missing any fruit. My favorite mode of the bunch, Classic, takes a decidedly different approach. You can also slice special fruit that provide you with unique power-ups, such as slowing down time (making it easier to line up big combos) and some that blast a torrential downpour of various fruit on you, allowing you to really go crazy with the slashing. Arcade mode tasks you with slicing up as many fruit as you can within the time limit, while avoiding bombs that deduct time from the clock. The core game is split into three fundamental game modes: Arcade, Classic, and Zen. The core game is split into three fundamental game modes: Arcade, Classic, and Zen Players can slice one multiple times all slices credit points as a multi-hit target. In Arcade, it is guaranteed that at the end of each game (and only at the end), a pomegranate will appear. In Classic and Arcade, special pomegranates are occasionally thrown on-screen. Arcade Mode is similar to Zen Mode, except bombs only deduct 10 points from the player’s score instead of losing and special bananas can appear which have unique bonuses such as doubling points scored for a limited time, throwing more fruit from the game screen’s sides without risk of bombs, or freezing the time for a few seconds. AragamiĪ mode known as Zen allows players to seek high scores without the hindrance of bombs appearing on the screen, but players only have a minute and thirty seconds. Bombs are occasionally thrown onto the screen, and will also end the game should the player slice them. Players must slice all fruit if three cumulative fruits are missed, the game ends, but upon reaching scores that are multiples of one hundred and the players have lost at least a life, the player will gain an extra life.

Extra points are awarded for slicing multiple fruits with one swipe (called “combo”s), and players can use additional fingers to make multiple slices simultaneously. As the fruit is thrown onto the screen, the player swipes their finger across the screen to create a slicing motion, attempting to slice the fruit in half. In Fruit Ninja, the player slices fruit with a blade controlled via the touch screen. It features multiple gameplay modes, leaderboards and multiplayer. Play now! In the game, the player must slice fruit that is thrown into the air by swiping the device’s touch screen with their finger(s) or in the case of the Xbox 360 version, the player’s arms and hands, and must not slice bombs. Take a moment amidst the chaos to witness the transition from sun-filled skies to dazzling starry nights! Action-packed bursts of fruit slicing mayhem, paired with the ‘pick-up and play’ nature of Fruit Ninja, allow for a seamless transition from district to dojo. Dynamic Weather: Strike in the night or hide in plain sight. It’s a minor complaint, but in a game where every point is important, its noticeable.Index Controller Support: The power is in your hands… Index support allows you to truly feel the blade within your grasp. It utilizes VR capabilities nicely, but I did find that tracking got a little messed up when you turned to far the left or right. This is definitely the most challenging mode, physically forcing you to move and adjust you body accordingly to not miss any fruit. The lone VR addition is Survival Mode, where flying canons float around you, shooting fruit at you from varying positions. All of these modes have been in previous versions of the game. Arcade, 60 seconds to rack up the highest score you can.

As with previous versions of the game, a few different modes are included here to mix up gameplay…a little bit.Ĭurrently there are 4 modes available Classic, slice fruit & avoid bombs. Oh! and you are armed with 2 swords to slice stuff up! The mapping of the swords to the motion controllers is near flawless and it really is a joy to cut up, skewer and bounce everything coming your way. The major difference between this and any other version is that the fruit, in VR, now comes at you from all sides forcing you to turn on the spot to see what’s coming at you. Every time I shish kabob’d a bunch a fruit, I felt so god damned skilled!!!!
